Blurred Background with Clear Subject

This picture was taken at the kapampangan center.   Mr. Edzel Manalang which is the subject and was given an emphasis, for the reason he had blurred background.

Blurred Subject and Clear Background

This picture was taken again at the kapampangan center showing the blurred foreground and the emphasis on the background which can be identify as the subject of the photo.

Sandwich the middle is the only clear

This is the picture of ralph, gerald and jasmine this shows a sandwich but its not that perfect because sandwiching is not and easy thing to do. we did every possible shots that we can make just to get the sandwich effect. Sandwiching requires a perfect combination of the focal length, exposure time, and shutter speed.

Overexpose

This photo was overexpose because it was shot with F/5.3 with a slow shutter speed that causes to much light to enter the lens.

Perfect exposure

This photo was perfect or in a correct exposre because even if its in F/4.5 the shutter is fast so that the light that comes in is enough.

Underexpose

This photo was taken in F/13 and with a very fast shutter and the result is underexposure because with a small opening of the lens and a fast shutter , less light will enter.

These are the sample pictures that are taken by my group mates. These includes the lines, textures and colors. The camera setting we use is automatic so that the shutter will adjust automatical in every shot and so as the flash. The pictures weve taken are not the best but we follow some rules in photography so that they will look good. The rule we followed is the rule of thirds, you can obviously see it in our sample pictures. In terms of exposure, we manage to make the background blurred and the subject is the one that is emphasize. The good about the shots are there are taken very clear and the subject is emphasize well.

WHAT WENT WRONG?

As you can see we did not apply the rule of thirds in this picture and that makes it so normal and usual. The possible solution is to take a shot on the side and place it in the lower side or focus on a single ball in that decoration.

Dr.Raul Sunico

DR. RAUL Sunico, top Filipino pianist and dean of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Conservatory of Music, is featured in a piano concert on Monday, November 10 at 4 p.m. at the Holy Angel University Theatre (HAU).

The concert, dubbed as “Romancing the Piano,” is part of a concert series organized by the University in celebration of its 75th foundation anniversary.

Dean Sunico’s repertoire is divided into three parts: classical music, Filipino love songs and Broadway musicals. He will also perform his version of the Kapampangan folk song “Atin Cu Pung Singsing,” which he arranged especially for the HAU concert.

Praised for his “unusual gifts of lyricism and poetry as well as great brilliance” by his mentor, Sascha Gorodnitzki, Dean Sunico has earned international recognition as a concert pianist, recording artist, orchestral soloist and composer-arranger of Philippine music.

He has also embarked on a series of projects on music education, arranged and recorded songs of the Philippine Revolution, authored a textbook series (“Musika at Sining”) for elementary grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 which were approved by DepEd for use in public schools starting SY 1999-2000.

Ros Music Center, the event’s co-sponsor, has arranged for the concert the use of an original Porsche-designed Bosendorfer grand piano, considered the most prestigious piano in the world.
